Introduction	I'm a hard-of-hearing 63 yr old wife and mother who still questions her faith but remains spiritual, mourns the loss of her son, celebrates life as it comes; and lives in a constant state of revision. What I look like – short, kinky-curly salt ‘n pepper hair; un-adorned bluish eyes magnified by glasses; heavier than I want to be; who now looks older than my mother (because I am!!). What I did – gave roots and wings to 3 magnificent children who are passing that on to others and back to me; nurtured a 38 year (and still going) marriage with my life partner; taught English for 32 years to 12-18 year olds; traveled to Greece, France, and Norway and most of the USA; searched for my roots until I hit the proverbial brick wall. What I do – read as much as I can, write my thoughts to figure out what I believe and what I have learned, watch all the critters in my yard and garden to discover what they can teach me, teach people how to cope with hearing loss, walk and exercise to ward off BP woes; listen to my son, daughter and sister; keep my husband company by silently sitting in the same room; visit with special, treasured friends, and quilt.
