| Introduction | For 25 years, I sailed all kinds of boats - little boats, bigger boats, club boats, rented boats, but mostly other people's boats. I think of those as 'The Happy Years'. Then I put away my childish things. I became a man. I bought a boat. What could I have been thinking? Most weekends I'm on O dock, working on whatever currently needs fixing on my boat, watching other people sailing happily on San Francisco bay. |
