| Introduction | I have found in my years that I cannot respect those people that would so blatantly steal and appropriate another people's culture, language and heritage for their own denial of who the appropriator's really are...Thieves and Liars. "Culture Vulture" is simply someone I am not. I can respect other People's language, culture and heritage without expropriating it, and putting that false persona on as if such were a coat, to assume it looks good on me. I have realized, that to MY ancestors, such traits as an inflated Ego-hunger for Power-and an attempt to Control others, are traits not to be admired or desired, of a human-being. I pray everyday that the purpose of my life, is to do good for the betterment of all people. A choker, a legal name change, an Inc. status membership, leathers and feathers does not make me an Abenaki. |
