| Introduction | J. Johnson is a sucker for a good story, and she has an eclectic taste. Lately, she has been obsessed with Rex Stout's Nero Wolfe books, Edgar Allen Poe's creepiest tales, Yoshiki Tanaka's Legend of the Galactic Heroes series, and--oddly enough--early nineteenth century nautical fiction. Whatever their backgrounds, great authors inspire her, the way Neil Peart inspires other drummers. J is always looking for new ways to practice and refine her craft, and since learning and teaching go together like peanut butter and jelly, she's never happier than when she's in the classroom. |
