| Introduction | I'm Ashley and I have been married to my husband Chase since December 15, 2007. We have 2 daughters, Jayda and Haven. Jayda was born at 26 weeks 4 days due to PPROM on 6/6/09 weighing 1 lb 9oz 13.5 inches. She was in the NICU for 90 days. She had a birth defect called a jejunal web (an intestinal blockage) that was corrected by one surgery. It took us 20 months to concieve our newest addition Haven. After waiting so long to snuggle in my womb she just couldn't wait to see her parents and was born at 33 weeks on 11/1/12 due to PPROM. She weighed 4lbs 4oz and 18 1/2 inches long. She spent 3 weeks in the NICU and came home on Thanksgiving. So now on top of scrapbooking about my family I have this blog as a release of sorts through my journey of bringing my kiddos into this world. I'm a very open and honest person and will not apologize if that makes people uncomfortable. I share the good, the bad, the ugly and sometimes even the TMI. I try not to take myself too seriously and often use humor to combat the urge to just give life the finger. If you are fine with that then come share the journey with me! |
