Introduction	Plants, gardens and travel are my passions! I am a free-lance garden and landscape writer, photgrapher, and lecturer, currently the Suite101 Feature Writer for Landscaping. I've been a member of the Garden Writers Association since 1980. Even though I previously lived and gardened in an American zone 5 landscape, I am now working in a zone 7 environment. However, my writing and landscape examples represent many private and public gardens around the world. Travel, especially to homes and gardens, continues to increase my knowledge, powers of observation and comparison. My photography thrives with this travel and my image library continues to increase. My last three trips - 2005, 2006,& 2007 - outside of the U.S. have been to Poland. This is where my grandparents emmigrated from in the late 1800s. I have been fortunate to share my travel experiences and images through illustrated talks and photographic exhibits.
