| Introduction | I live and work in Long Island City, New York. Long Island City is a mostly industrial part of New York City, however I have a garden there that is a major source of subject matter and actual materials for my work. I am a printmaker and a painter. My usual way of working is to make monotypes directly on my etching press using natural objects such as leaves, weeds, feathers, etc. I then work on these prints using other materials to make a finished unique image that combines printmaking, drawing and painting. In recent years I’ve also been influenced by the landscape of eastern Long Island. I graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design and have a graduate degree from the University of Iowa.
