| Introduction | I'm an enigma. No not really. I have just always wanted to use that vocabulary word somewhere cool besides my classroom, and what could be cooler than here! Actually, I am a mother of four, wife, farmer, artist (of sorts), and English teacher. I love to play with words, teach outside the box, spend time with my kids, be tortured :) by my husband, and just create beautiful things with whatever media I happen to have around. I love the term 'upcycling' and use it as an excuse to steal 'pieces and parts' from our farm shop. I have called North Dakota home for 32 of the almost 37 years I have been alive and have a love/hate relationship with rural America. I love the the way 40 below feels on your cheeks, the prairie, the sky, the smell of grain harvest, and thunderstorms. I hate that we are so far from the city, small town gossip, and the feel of 40 below on your cheeks! |
