| Introduction | A hard core mystery fanatic by heart – took to it when I was quite young. Started off with the Hardy Boys & The Three Investigators and by the time I was in college, I’d run through most of the titles from Agatha Christie and Erle Stanley Gardner’s Perry Mason novels. Ever since then, I’ve devoted myself to finding the books written by the writers of Golden Age of Detective Fiction (GAD). It’s not so easy to find books from this genre in India. Being in the US for the past three years, I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to get exposed to all these great authors and books. I’ve restricted myself to collecting locked room mysteries these past years. This blog would highlight my exploration of the world of detective short story over the next one year to achieve the goals that I’ve set myself(available in my first post). Of course, I’ll be reading the novels and reviewing a few of them here but they are gone be few and far apart. |
