Introduction	I barely even knew that Chicago existed until I moved here in 2005. A native east coaster, I felt an immediate sense of suphocation upon setting foot onto this essentially landlocked state. Additionally, I wondered why this place is considered the "midwest." There's nothing "west" about it. It makes no sense, so I refer to it as simply "the mid." It was hard to move here; hard to leave everyone I knew behind, but a lot has happened since then. I've grown immensely, and settled into this new life. "The mid" is now officially my home, and this is my life in "mid"-air!
