Introduction	Shoe Designer Miriam van Weeghel is born in 1986, second of four children in a small village in the Netherlands. Her creating talent started in her early years. She was always bussy with paper, glue and glitters and spent almost her entire youth creating all kind of things. Even though her high school didn't stimulate her creativity very much, she managed finishing the Atheneum with only one goal: getting allowed on the prestigious High School of Art in Arnhem. She managed to start at the section Product Design in 2005. In March 2007 she applied for a workshop sponsored by Van Bommel shoes and Michiel Korper, and fell in love with shoe design. This is why after finishing the second year in the summer of 2007, she decided to focus completely on shoe design. In the tirth year Miriam had her first fashionshows together with the clothes of Elsien Gringhuis. Her shoes were showed on the catwalk during the Arnhem Graduation shows 08, Frans Molenaar Award 08, Nieuwe Lichting 08,Amsterdam Fashion Week 08 and Mittelmoda.Miriam followed in 2008 an internship at Hester Vlamings in Amsterdam. Miriam graduated in the summer of 2009, only 0.5 point to short for a cum laude title.
