| Introduction | I have been involved in business events management for more than 18 years and currently play a role in sharing the knowledge and experience I have gained, with students who are preparing to embark on careers involving business events management, destination management and tourism in general. As a lecturer at Temasek Polytechnic’s School of Business, I am involved in teaching a number of courses and the one closest to my heart is Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions. With this blog, I hope to be able to relate industry developments, happenings, circumstances and activities to the theory (on business events) one finds in academic research journals, textbooks and event management frameworks. In doing so, I also hope to help my students connect the dots linking theory to the application of theory in real life circumstances. |
