Introduction	Has been crafting since she was a toddler and is pleased as punch that she found a way to make a living playing with art materials. My studio space consists of mountains of clear containers each is overflowing with sequins, yarn, beads, feathers, glass, buttons,trims, stamps... anything you can imagine. Whether I'm outside in nature or at a store I observe everything carefully, always trying to figure out of how it's made and how can I remake or redesign it.
Interests	Heidi Boyd is the author of ten craft books with North Light Books, most notably the Simply Beautiful series. She crafts at the dining room table where she can keep an eye on the family and dash out the door for the next carpool. Her goal is to make sophisticated design approachable for and easy for all. She has a fine art degree and got her start in professional crafting as a contributor to Better Homes and Gardens books and magazines. Heidi and her husband Jon and their three children actively enjoy the natural beauty of their midcoast Maine home.
