| Introduction | My paintings are myself. I identify myself with my artistic works, my past and current readings, what I learn and the music I listen to, now and in the past. And I try to find personal emotions in front of the work of all artist. I am built up by my travels and the love I feel toward people. In the past I have been an information scientist in bio-medical research, but I never stopped to paint. My works on canvas and on paper have been abstract since 50 years, in all my four periods. I put into them my deep emotions and ideas. I do not belong to any group, I was born in epoch in Bulgaria, but I lived too short time there to become a Bulgarian. I grew up, studied and suffered as a hopeless enamored young man in Milano, but I do not recognize Italy as my country. I am at home in Paris, but when they say proudly “la France” I feel pleased as a foreigner for ever anywhere. I am happy to live in Amsterdam but do not speak Dutch. |
