| Introduction | I grew up in Iowa and understand what it means to be LGBTQ+ in the Heartland. After leaving the U.S. Army, I spent four years in Kansas City, Missouri before moving to Nebraska. There’s something about the Midwest I love...the people, the cities and the outdoors. The only thing it’s lacking (for me) are mountains.
