| Introduction | I'm a mid 30s, single parent, wanting to re-establish control of my world. The best place I have found to begin is within me, myself, and my mane. For as long as I can remember, I've had short hair, never getting past the nape or T of my neck. I wasn't raised on imagery, so school years flew by. Early adulthood, I was a workaholic, so stress was welcomed. Then my baby. My precious. My social life came to an abrupt halt by choice. Mind you, I’m still not high maintenance. My outlook on life changed. I became a provider, protector, and ‘economy’ survivor. My big chop was in my early 20s. Loved comb presses. Run my muck with market products. Recently, past year or so, I have become more curious about natural care and style of my hair. The more I research, the more excited I become and Am.
