IntroductionI have been messing about with herbs for decades. A lot of people get into herbalism through gardening or studying botany. I got into them many years ago because I was very sick, and I had an aversion to doctors' offices (yes, I know doctors have their place. I just try not to go there unless I absolutely have to.) For me, herbs often seem to work better than pharmaceuticals,(which of course also have their place). Speaking of that, you won't find a very pharmaceutical approach here, so if that is what you are looking for, best keep looking. I have a more personal, magical relationship with the plants, and that is how I write about them and also how I employ their services. "Magic is alive, God(dess) is afoot!"
InterestsHerbs,Flower Essences, Homeopathy, Kabbalah, DNA, Magic, and especially my progeny
Favorite moviesthe wild child, the 400 blows, 2001, Lord of the Rings, The Petrified Forest, Key Largo. I like oldies best. To be honest, I don't see a lot of movies. I can't really say why. Now books--that's another story. Know any 12 Step programs for bibliophiles? (That just means booklovers, nothing nasty.)
Favorite musicMedieval, Renaissance, Baroque, 60's Rock, Hindu, Vivaldi, Mozart, and yes, I admit it, BEETHOVEN!
Favorite booksWilliam Shakespeare's plays and the Sonnets, Geoffrey Chaucer, Classical mythology, The writings of Plato, The Golden Bough, The Gnostic Bible (collections from Nag Hammadi)Aryeh Kaplan, Carl Jung, Joseph Campbell,Robert Anton Wilson, Terrence McKenna, The Tiger's Fang, Sar Bachan, Rudolph Steiner, William Butler Yeats, Poetry of William Blake, John Keats, Richard Wilbur, W.H. Auden. I could go on, but I won't. Probably forgetting something.....

If you could peer far enough into the night sky, you'd see a star in any direction you looked. When would you sleep?

To quote the late great Warren Zevon--"I'll sleep when I'm dead!"
