| Introduction | Pastor K. Edwin Bryant was born and raised in Elyria, Ohio. He was baptized, trained, and licensed under the leadership of Dr. Henry L. Johnson, III at the Second Baptist Church of Elyria, Ohio. He graduated from American Baptist College (Nashville, TN) where he received a Bachelors of Arts in Pastoral Theology and a minor in Church Administration. Pastor Bryant united with the Mt. Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Joseph W. Walker, III in the summer of 1992. After several years of faithful service to Bishop Walker and the Mt. Zion family, Bishop Walker invited Pastor Bryant to join the Pastoral Administrative staff in the spring of 1997. By the fall of 2000, he was promoted to Pastoral Assistant & Chief Operating Officer. Pastor Bryant served faithfully until receiving a pastoral call in October 2004, to lead the Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church of Dayton, Ohio. Despite his short tenure, Pastor Bryant is accredited with raising the spiritual maturity of the congregation, developing numerous ministries, retiring the mortgage, implementing various community service programs, administration initiatives, and has transitioned the church to a debt free ministry. |
