About me

Introduction	I live in the Pacific Northwest which I can’t think of a better place to be, for the beauty and the food. I live in a wonderful little house with a big yard and bountiful, if not over-grown garden. I love to cook. You could call it a passion really. I’ve applied, been accepted, and even quit a job to go to cooking school on 3 separate occasions. But alas, I’ve never actually gone. Why? I don’t know. Maybe I’ll still go. But for now I pursue my passion for cooking in my own kitchen with my wonderful family as test subjects. I love making my own dishes or taking recipes and making them my own. I try to eat real food that is mostly organic. I try to avoid processed food, but don’t get me wrong, I love Jack in the Box and Cold Stone. My nephews love to help me in the garden and kitchen which couldn’t make me happier. They’re responsible for naming me Kimma which is a shorter version of Kim-Mom which is what they used to call me. I’ve been cooking for as long as I can remember and I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of it. I’m always in search of knowledge and inspiration to broaden and strengthen my culinary horizons. So, this is the blog about everything from Kimma’s Kitchen.
