| Introduction | By profession, I am an Urban Planner. I spend my days analyzing maps, zoning plans, and the visible layers of cities. I understand coordinates, borders, and the official records of who owns the land. By destiny, I am a Mapper of Secrets. I realized that the most complex map I would ever encounter was not of a city, but of my own blood. Using the analytical tools of my profession and the precision of modern genetic science (Y-DNA & mtDNA), I embarked on a journey to map the invisible. The Mission: To decode the whispers of my paralyzed grandfather. The Method: Combining genetic genealogy, historical archives, and sociopolitical analysis. The Goal: To break the cycle of "Benliksizlik" (Loss of Self) and reconstruct the true identity of a family lost between the Caucasus and the Steppe. This blog is the logbook of that excavation. I am not just searching for names; I am searching for the truth that was forced underground. |
