| Introduction | I am a native of the Arizona desert. *I traveled to British Columbia for University and fell in love (hook, line and sinker) with an extraordinary Canadian man. *My roots currently cling to the rainforest soil of West Coast Canada where we live with our two children. *Creating with clay and film brings me a great deal of joy, as do moments that essence true community between human beings. *My tangled mix of passions often pulls me outdoors and away from the ordinariness of the everyday. I am learning to apply these passions to living well within the realities of my *NOW* and today.* A dear friend gave me the nickname "Mama Monk", in response to my desire for balance between my vocation as mother and my deep need for internal wholeness, solitude, and peace. *My formal education is in Nursing which I consider first an ART and then a SCIENCE. I have recently transitioned to Maternity Nursing where I feel my passions for wholistic healing/growth and family support are able to thrive. *I am presently at home full-time, cherishing these fleeting moments with my young family. I am a fledgling wife, mother and home manager striving to imbue each (extra)ordinary day with meaning. |
