Introduction	I am a male child-abuse survivor. I grew up with an abusive, alcoholic father and an emotionally absent mother. My life journey took me through drug addiction, mental illness and eventually prison. But I was also one of the lucky ones - I got help when I was still young enough to build a new life with a new family. For that, I will be eternally grateful.
