| Introduction | Kætwo is a nickname giving homage to the writer's birth mother, whose initials were KK and whose name she adopted for her online persona. She used the Nordic character æ because she thinks diphthongs are cool.
It is simultaneously a tongue-in-cheek reference to K2, the second tallest mountain in the world, which claims the lives of 20% of climbers who attempt to reach its summit. The author, a mother to four mostly-adult humans and one senior dog, likes beer, bacon and comfy pants, as most people do. She writes observations about her life and is, in general, pretty darn happy. |
