| Introduction | The SZABIST Literary Club (SLC) was officially created on August 29, 2010, with 30 founding members and 10 teams. The purpose of the club is to promote the importance of literature in day to day life, to encourage the study of literature and to collaborate with societies abroad and within Pakistan who share the same views. The basic purpose is to appreciate the mere existence of the literary word, to preserve its essence and to invite young individuals to a world that only literature can open up. The objectives of the club are to welcome those who are willing to explore writing or enhance their skills; to ensure that nobody’s literary voice is unheard; to help its members enhance their creativity in the field of writing and to promote work in all the regional and provincial languages of Pakistan and also in the English Language; and finally, to give the students at SZABIST the chance to showcase their talents by getting their work published in newspapers, in books and in the society’s newsletter/blog. |
