| Introduction | Aquaculture is my passion. I have been in this field for more than 30 years. My foundation in aquaculture started when I was employed in research at the Aquaculture Department of the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC, AQD). A graduate degree, several trainings and experience in the commercial aquaculture industry locally and abroad made me what I am today, a seasoned aquaculturist. My aquaculture profession brought me to almost all places in the Philippines and in many different countries whether as a speaker or a participant in a conference, a consultant or as a researcher. I am very proud to say that I literally get very wet when I work and that makes me a "hands on" aquaculturist. My interests in Aquaculture includes: hatchery of freshwater and marine fishes, breeding of Aquarium Fishes, hatchery and grow-out of Shrimps, natural food production for the larval rearing of fin and shell fishes |
