Introduction	My lifelong efforts to live as holistically as possible were greatly altered on June 3, 2019. On that day, my body sustained serious injuries in a near-fatal, high speed rollover while driving on I-29 in Wisconsin. A complex recovery has been unfolding ever since -- sometimes reaching back to childhood; and often reaching toward a future we share. First, there was a full-time navigation of crisis medicine. Then, I welcomed a gradual incorporation of more holistic and natural therapies. All worthwhile but lived as an uneven terrain, nonetheless. I've been learning, once again, that the map for healing includes education and creativity, and must be self-created. I also rode in the saddle of a protracted civil suit, which added an altogether different layer of perceptions about people, motive, and the long-term costs of personal injury. My near-death experiences and my recovery process are full of lessons --- lessons I hope to integrate with the level of wisdom, love, and grace that I have been shown along the way. May this memoir facilitate strong connections between past, present, and future and allow me a more conscious and inspired journey.
