Introduction | Paul Mendez is a self-taught writer and artist. In 2010 he was published for the first time, with a series of journalistic articles for the UK gay press. During this same year he began overseeing the editorial content of 12-Pages Magazine, and instigated the Online Project Space. He also frequently contributes blog articles on architecture and design to Glass Magazine. Delineation: Contemporary Dialogues with Drawing was the first exhibition in which Mendez participated, showing text-based drawings and performing – ‘non-performatively’ – a live piece of 'free' writing. Mendez’ written and drawn works juxtapose the religion of childhood with the often corrupt adult world. He is currently working on a novel. |
