Introduction	I am a History major looking to get a certification to teach in Texas. I am taking this class, not only to fulfill a degree requirement, but to also understand the policies and people who will be affecting my livelihood. In terms of political ideology, I do not fit into any finite category, but could possibly be described as a Liberal-Libertarian hybrid with a Progressive streak. Above all else I am a pragmatist, who sees a lack of common sense on display in our current system. Lastly, my political experience consists of voting and my work with an educational non-profit, Austin Voices for Education and Youth.
