Introduction | Although I'm approaching the age at which many people retire, I have a ten-year-old and am pursuing a new career path. As a former Vietnam era activist, I want to find new creative and effective ways to help people manifest change within the American political system. Some of the methods we in the sixties and seventies would work today, i.e. peaceful protest and active involvement. I do not advocate violence of any kind and strongly believe that use of such does not help any cause to gain support or to endure. I view it as counterproductive and in opposition to everything for which I stand. Conversely, working through peaceful means helps to create an environment within which people can learn to care about one another and how they conduct themselves in life. In other words, it builds integrity of living. |
