| Introduction | We had a border collie who died of old age, then we had a toy poodle. There were a few advantages to a smaller dog: poop was smaller, food and water were smaller, traveling was easier, if it dug a hole it was smaller (lol)... I saw they had mini australian shepherds, why didn’t they have a mini border collie? In my search I found that some cross a Papillon (I had almost gotten one instead of our toy poodle), they are ranked #6 in intelligence and also thrive on praise and surpass in agility (crazy agility for their size). Ok, that was it. A miniature hybrid Border Collie it was. The problem was, I couldn’t find one. What I did find was all of that in a full bred smaller sized sable border collie puppy named “Yansa.” -We now raise purebred small border collies and hybrid miniature border collies. So, for those in suburbia that want a border collie, but think you need 20 acres or more to enjoy one, welcome to our site. |
