| Introduction | I have begun my academic career as a theoretical physicist and moved first to philosophy of physics and then to early modern natural philosophy and HPS more generally. My research interests cover theories of matter in seventeenth century, the place of natural philosophy among disciplines, the experimental philosophy from Bacon to Newton. In the last 5 years I have developed a parallel research interest for the intellectual context and emergence of Francis Bacon's natural philosophy. |
