Introduction Retired psychologist, author, social activist. Most recent book written, The Devil's Marriage: Break Up the Corpocracy or Leave Democracy in the Lurch. I received my undergraduate degree from Indiana University and my Ph.D. in organizational psychology from The Ohio State University in 1963. I am a Fellow of both the American Psychological Association and the Association for Psychological Science. My doctoral dissertation was about personal and organizational values, a subject that still interests me very much because values influence human behavior and whether we live in a civilized society. Since retiring I have gone beyond my own field to delve into economics, history, humanism, moral philosophy, political science, public affairs, and theology. Learning more about these subjects also helped me to write The Devil’s Marriage.
