Introduction	After working in manufacturing for 14-1/2 years, I decided that I was in a dead-end job and the only way to change that was to return to school. After taking several career assessments, I settled on a major in accounting and enrolled at Tri-County Technical College. On August 9, 2007, I quit my job and was a full time student eleven days later. My first day in Accounting class was enlightening. My whole life made sense and I knew I was in the right place. After two years of school, I graduated from TCTC in May 2009 with an Associate in Business, with a Major in Accounting, with Highest Honors. Since then, in my search for a job, I have found that most accounting positions that interest me require at least a BS in Accounting. Other jobs want experience and I do not have relevant experience.
