Curmudgeon
My blogs
| Introduction | Kaizen is a Japanese word meaning change for the better; a curmudgeon is a cantankerous old person. The Kaizen Curmudgeon blog consists principally of conversations between the Curmudgeon and Jaded Julie, a younger colleague who has “had it up to here” with waste and inefficiency. Of course, both “Curmudge” (the author’s alter ego) and Jaded Julie are fictional. The author of Kaizen Curmudgeon is a retired Associate Professor of Chemistry. Kaizen Curmudgeon blog was founded in May 2007. Its original focus was on Lean (a management culture), leadership, and health care. Until January 2012 the blog was sponsored by the Performance Excellence Team at Affinity Health System. Kaizen Curmudgeon is presently independent, is no longer limited to health care, and often considers topics of interest to senior citizens. |
