| Introduction | This is a blog about me, food and Shanghai. I work as an English teacher and a freelance food critic on the side, which takes me once step close to my dream career as a food writer or food buyer (I haven't decided yet). This blog claims to be neither brilliant in terms of photography, cooking ability nor writing ability (okay, so I'm not selling myself here), but it's an honest account of my food adventures and I love food to the point of obsession, so I hope that will shine through. There are people I will mention from time to time in my blogs who are part of my food life, so I'll introduce them to you now: Dave- the man. He works as a magazine editor and edits all my food reviews to make them sound fancy. He's a fellow food lover and likes coffee, honey, steak and cookies. Ali, Trish and Luke- the housemates/guinea pigs. They try all my Chinese food experiments and like drinking tea. After dinner we have lengthy conversations about eggs. Tristan- the fellow food lover. He's one of the Suzhou ELAs I worked with before I came to Shanghai. He adores food like me and we have lengthy discussions and drool over places to eat. Enjoy reading! |
