Introduction | I struggled with a name for this blog, but the concept of 'making space' kept coming up. For a long, long time I had controlled and contained my environment to survive, professionally and personally. Finally, those frameworks became confining, if not suffocating. So, I did what any desperate person wanting to live has to do: cry, sleep poorly, perseverate, and finally take a BIG breath and commit to a new plan. I stepped out of the leadership role and private practice job. My dog and I travelled across the whole U.S. and then I ended up in New Zealand, where I have found love and a rejuvenated passion for obstetrics and gynecology. Better yet, I recognize the need and beauty of slowing down, honouring balance. It has been a beautiful adventure that keeps unfurling. |

By just a wiggle of my nose, of course.
