| Introduction | We joined the CHI family in May '07 after deciding that the Vietnam program was best for us. It had one of the shortest waits and was much easier to qualify for as opposed to other programs, namely China. China had one of the shortest wait times for an infant girl but was also one of the harder programs to qualify for. We blazed through our home study and had our CIS fingerprinting done and back within a 2 week period! We officially were placed on the waiting list in Oct. of '07 and that's where we have been up until May '08 when we officially pulled out of the Vietnamese program and chose Ethiopia. So, here we are now, headed to Ethiopia and so excited about our possibilities with this program. We can't wait for the day of our referral and finally bringing our child home. This is a very exciting time for us and we are soooo looking forward to working with the program's staff! |
