| Introduction | For twenty-five years I was an entrepreneur, developing and operating a small business in Sacramento, California. This work involved the creation and marketing of several, popular services targeted for the commercial real estate market. During the latter eight years of this period, I began a part-time Web publishing project by the name of GoHAWK.com and soon partnered with Clear Channel Sacramento on building-out and managing two of their newly created talk-radio station websites, KFBK.com and KSTE.com. As Special Reports editor for KFBK.com, a major Northern California radio market, I often came into contact with and explored worldwide news events. This awareness spurred my interest in becoming more active in journalism, especially regarding human rights issues. In 2004 I retired from all entrepreneurial endeavors and began pursuing new ventures in domestic and international volunteerism. This decision has since led me to accept volunteer project assignments in the United States, Germany, and The Netherlands. |
