| Introduction | As Director of the Northwest Activities Center Computer Clubhouse since 2003, I enjoy working with young people to help them learn computer and Internet technologies. We use computers to design, create, invent, and explore. We are a licensed member of the Intel Computer Clubhouse Network (ICCN) and the only program of this kind in the State of Michigan. NWAC Computer Clubhouse membership is a FREE program for 10 - 18 year olds. We are located in the Northwest Activities Center (corner of Meyers and Curtis) in Detroit, Michigan. All members must do design activities when they visit the clubhouse. They must work on projects when they are in the clubhouse. Most projects (or pictures/video upload your best works to the Computer Clubhouse Village. |

| Favorite movies | I love romantic-comedies; my favorites is The Quiet Man starring John Wayne, (yes, JW did make movies that were not westerns). This film was directed by John Ford and filmed in Ireland in the 1950's. It is well-written, directed and performed. It is a great movie for all ages. It even includes a pretty good fight scene - that could teach the lesson that with fists you can "settle the score" and still live to fight another day (or you are your opponent might even become great friends). A few of my other favorites are: West Side Story, Annie, any Disney movie, Stargate, Arsenic and Old Lace |
| Favorite music | Got to love Motown and old school - Aretha, Stevie, Smokey, Michael, Rick James, Patty, Gladys, the list is long, but suffice-it-to-say, I love music, any kind of music, as long as it's groovin', as such, my preferences are R & B, Jazz and Hip-Hop; some rap, if it's clean and positive. |
| Favorite books | Holy Bible, The Underground Railroad by William Still, autobiographies, mysteries, poetry and SciFi. I'm a big fan of Dame Agatha Christie, Langston Hughes, Isaac Asimov and Jane Austen. |
