| Introduction | In March 1996, The Board of Directors of PIA endorsed a Young Planner’s Policy in response to the need to better represent the needs, issues and aspirations of young planners within the institute and enable representation on the Board of Directors. The aim of this policy and the National Young Planners Network is to promote, support and represent Young Planners at a national level. The role of Divisional young planner groups is to: Arrange social and information sessions and activities. Support young planners at Divisional levels. Promote the role of young planners within the planning profession. Foster links between PIA and Universities. Promote student and graduate membership of PIA. Promote interaction between young planners, especially between student and graduate planners. Promote the planning profession as a whole. |
