About me

Occupation Freelance Food Writer & Photographer
Location Washington, United States
Introduction I love all things related to food! Cooking, eating, styling, writing, photographing, exploring new ingredients, sampling new flavors, creating recipes & did I mention eating?! Some of my favorite foods include, meatballs & pepperoncini, bacio gelato, pizza margherita, olives, bittersweet chocolate, pici al cinghiale, Manchego with a drizzle of honey, fig preserves & toasted almonds. I began Honey Dumplings in May of 2008, thanks to the persistence of my husband (thanks honey!) I'm a Seattle Native; a UW alumna, (BA: English-Literature/Creative Writing). After graduation, I worked in the catering field for a year(really putting that English-Lit degree to good use!). I moved to San Francisco to attend the California Culinary Academy and spent my Culinary Externship surrounded by vineyards and olive groves in the Tuscan countryside. I found myself to be the only woman in the kitchen; therefore I quickly learned all of those naughty words that I wasn't taught in college. Honey Dumplings is my culinary playground, a place where I can share my passion for food & writing. Thank you for stopping by. Buon Appetito!
