| Introduction | Born in Tanzania and raised in kenya, kaya represents the dynamic spirit of the modern African woman. The compelling passion of her voice conveys the pain, the pride and the internal struggles between the two that so many deal with. Always a performer, Nakaaya has been in love with music since her early days singing in school choirs. her break came in 2006 as a cast member on east Africa's hit reality TV series, project fame. Though she did not win, she became one of the viewers favorites. vastly known for her hit single Mr. politician off her debut Album ‘Nervous Conditions’, she has worked alongside the Danish Government to ensure the MDG3 is effective by 2015. She was awarded the champions torch in 2008 and committed to recording and promoting the song 'beautiful' to sensitize and mobilize women across Africa in particular. and the world at large.She later got a record deal with Sony music Denmark ,that lasted one year.At the end of her recording deal, she is excited and eager to make music, birth her second album sending her message across the continent. She has a mission to educate and entertain all in the motherland.We are bold .We are brave. We are beautiful! |
