| Introduction | Yes, I've started a blog. For years my dad has asked me, "When are you going to write The Great American Novel?" My answer: "When I know what it's about." I don't have enough material for a book, but I definitely have enough for a blog post. Many blog posts, in fact, starting with what's wrong with my hair and what I know after five years of marriage. I've been reluctant, okay afraid, to start a blog because when I write for myself (outside my life as a former journalist and present editor at a law firm), I like to get personal. But I trust by now I've had enough therapy to keep boundaries around what I post (oops, was that too personal?) Because the fact is, I have a lot to say. And like most writers I know, I want someone to listen. Until, of course, I've written The Great American Novel. Then I'll be too rich and famous to keep writing this blog. |
