| Introduction | Elizabeth is a mother and grandmother, teacher, musician, athlete and friend. David was adopted and raised by giant apes and still speaks their language. He is a musician, author and ethicist who, until recently, operated undercover as a barista in a bookstore. In his copious free time he likes to ride his bicycle, paddle his kayak, barbeque in the back yard and make music with his friends. He says that he is working on another book. After years apart filled with learning, travel, love, family, music, paddling, teaching and observation, we met again in December 2012. This is the story of our latest adventure together. November 2016: The blog ended halfway through our trip in February 2014, as blogs often do. We returned to China for another six months in August 2014, coming to Canada for the last time together in February 2015. I have since added some more entries that were buried in our emails. What a time we had! *********************************************************** Sadly, David died suddenly in September 2016. The next part of the story is a blog titled After David; the next chapter written by Elizabeth alone but infused with David's wisdom. |
