| Introduction | John Carroll is an author, consultant, coach and entrepreneur based in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. A charter member of the Society for the Advancement of Consulting, he is among two dozen experts worldwide to receive Board Approval for his work in consulting to emerging growth companies. His approaches have attracted attention globally, including articles appearing in Chief Executive China magazine. A national award-winning columnist, John is the author of Sales Illustrated: 68 Sales Lessons from Everyday Life (available in three languages). He has launched or helped to launch five organizations. John is also the first layperson to serve on the Clergy Personnel Advisory Board of the Diocese of Charleston. A founding board member of Lowcountry Local First, John has served as board president of the Dee Norton Lowcountry Children’s Center and president of the Mount Pleasant Business and Professional Association. John currently serves as board chair for Camp Rise Above providing summer camp experiences for children with life-threatening illnesses and serious life challenges.
