About me

IndustryEducation
OccupationPhD Student
LocationCollege Station, Texas
IntroductionI moved to Austin to get away from my hometown and try to decide what to do as a career. After living there for about five years and finishing my Masters in English Literature (after running far and fast away from my paralegal job), I moved to College Station for my PhD at Texas A&M. Clearly, there has been severe and sad culture clashes between College Station and Austin. I still to Austin most weekends for friends and hobbies. I'm a liberal activist interested in feminism and how it, GLBTI, and queer activisim, works with race and class. I'm also an animal rights and environmental activist. Although pretty left leaning in lots and lots of things, I have the occasional surprising political issue that doesn't quiet "line up."
