About me

Introduction Once upon a time I was born, and I grew up before I had a chance to realize why, though I imagine it had something to do with John Lennon’s philosophy: life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans. For instance, I never planned to get stuck in three elevators in three different places in one month, or nearly eaten alive by mosquitoes in Venice, or chased after by a Doberman in sunny California, and I certainly didn’t plan that whole swim-with-the-sharks fiasco. I did plan to major in theatre, and spend my days quoting Shakespeare, while living happily ever after in a swanky flat. But life happened, and now I spend my days busy with something better than Shakespeare. He was just a guy in tights, anyway.
