| Introduction | I'm a single mom, published writer, book editor, Library Assistant, dog owner, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, cousin, employee, tenant, neighbor, customer, patron, Christian, American, and church member. I work, eat, sleep, breathe, do my best to take care of my daughter and myself, love the ones I love, and try to make small, positive impacts on the world and the people in it. I believe in God and take comfort in the fact that He believes in me too. I am slightly repulsed by politics, onions, snakes, movie remakes, kids staring at gadgets 24/7, false entitlement, laziness, and the color yellow. I have eclectic taste, not limited to styles, genres, or trends. I enjoy and employ sarcasm, cynicism, and the occasionally macabre. I have an odd phobia of and frequent nightmares about sharks yet some strange intrigue with watching Shark Week. I also watch too much "reality" TV, especially shows starring an angry blond Scottish chef who likes to yell at people about lackluster risotto. I'm in my forties physically but am sometimes twenty mentally. I've put myself through a lot and lost a lot, but God never lets go of me anyway, and I find that as comforting as it is humbling. |
