| Introduction | I am primarily a visual person. I'm always dancing on a stage of images and ideas which have yet to take form. Eventually these ideas invite me to transform my enthusiasm, energy and emotion onto canvas. My paintings are like metaphors that allow the viewers to imagine and build their own story. I have always had a curiosity and passion for art. For my fifth birthday I received my first easel and paints which captured my attention for hours on end. Since then, I have continued to put my paint to canvas where I continue to dance. I was born in Italy and immigrated to Canada with my family in 1967. My education is in Recreation Therapy and Holistic Nutrition. I've completed classes at the Emily Carr School of Art on Granville Island, BC, The Ottawa School of Art and Nepean Visual Arts Centre. I have taught workshops on silk screen printing and classes exploring various techniques painting on textiles. I have experimented with many mediums over the years including oils, watercolours, silk screen printing and painting on various textiles. I continue to paint and sell my work privately. My works are also displayed in various local galleries. |
