Introduction	One of the best reasons I can come up with as to why I want a timber boat is the feeling or realisation that the boat is a living thing or was at one point. I know there are pros and cons to every material used on boats. The fact that I can repair the hull by replacing planks makes more sense to me at the moment. I have had Steel and loved the safe feeling of rubbing up against docks and bouncing off the ocean bottom riding a wave into shoal sands. This time I wanted an experience, a true nautical memory of all things wooden.
